Location
is an important 1)………………………… of buying a home. But what is a good2)………………………?
There might be different 3)……………………… on this matter, but I think good location
are the two following things: how close it is to everything, and what school 4)…………………………...
the area is in. School district is 5)…………………………. because living in a good
school district drives the price of each house up. Everyone wants to send their
kids to good schools, so the 6)……………………………. price will increase due to the 7)…………………………..
Finally, living in an area that is close to everything makes everything 8)………………………………..
Imagine walking downstairs and finding a variety of coffee shops, restaurants,
and 9)………………………………….. Work is right around the 10)…………………… and you don't have
to drive anywhere. This is great location and some people love living in this
area. This area is usually 11)…………………………….. to living in downtown. Think about
what you want, but keep these things in mind.
After you 12)………………………………. where you want to live, you can then find out what type of housing you can buy there. If you can afford a $310,000 home, find out what the price13) ……………………….. is in that area. If you live farther away from the city, you might be able to buy a nice big home. If you want to live close to the 14)……………….., or in the city which is close to everything, you might have to choose a condo. Choosing the type of housing will depend on where you want to live and how much you can 15)…………………………….
The three most 16)……………………………. type of housing here are, single family homes, condos, and town homes. Single family homes are houses that are not 17)………………………… to any other house. Condos are apartment style housing where you own the unit, but there are many other 18)……………………… within the same building. Town homes are in between the house and condo where multiple houses are connected, but not in an apartment format with different floors. Think of a town home as 4 different houses connected to each other. A large town home 19)…………………………… can have 80 total units which would be 20 different buildings all having 4 units in each building.
Now we know where we want to live and what type of housing we can buy. It's a good idea to find an 20)…………………………….. now. Let's go do that in the next section. I'll also tell you how you can save some money.

Before refrigerators
were invented, the next best thing was an 1)………………….. But another way to keep
food fresh is to use an evaporative cooler. A common design is a tall box with
several 2)…………………….. inside to hold the food. The shelves are pieces of 3)…………………..
with many small holes through them. The sides of the box are covered with
pieces of thick cloth.
4)…………………………………
of water are placed at the top and bottom of the cooler. The ends of each piece
of cloth lie in the water so the 5)………………….. stays wet.
The cooler
is put outdoors, but not in the sun. Air will pass through the wet cloth. The
inside of the box will stay several degrees cooler than the outside air 6)………………………………...
And this may be cool enough to keep foods fresh, at least for a short time.
Some
foods can make you sick if they are stored in conditions that are not cold
enough to prevent the growth of harmful organisms. Freezing can keep some foods
in good condition for months after the growing
season. Yet foods can be damaged if they are kept too cold.
The 7)………………………..
development group Practical Action says the best way to prepare foods for
storage is at 8)……………………. time while still in the field.
Use a
sharp knife and place the harvested items on a clean surface or directly into
storage containers. Do not put them on the ground.
Use clean
water to remove dirt, and keep the water clean. Usually it is better not to
remove outer 9)…………………. from fruits and vegetables before storage. Without the
leaves, food can become dry.
Fruits
and 10)……………………………. must be cool from field heat before they are put into
storage. But cooling them in water can spread 11)…………………… throughout the food.
A better idea is to harvest foods either early or late in the day, then leave
them to cool naturally.
Some
fruits and vegetables must be stored at zero to four degrees Celsius. Any 12)………………….,
and they might be damaged. Some foods need to be stored at four to eight
degrees, and some need to be stored above eight degrees for best results.
Wet the
fruits and vegetables so they do not become too dry. The best time to do this
is before storage. Cover the items in plastic once they reach the right
"critical temperature" for storage. Most fruits and vegetables need
the relative 13)……………………… in storage to be kept between eighty-five and
ninety-five percent.
Finally,
leave space 14)…………………… the food containers and the walls of the cold storage
area so air can flow. Keep the space clean. And try not to open the 15)…………………
too often.
